PT-141 (bremelanotide) is a synthetic melanocortin-receptor agonist studied in research into MC4R signalling pathways in experimental models.
PT-141 is bremelanotide, a synthetic cyclic heptapeptide and a melanocortin-receptor ligand structurally related to melanotan II. It has the molecular formula C50H68N14O10, a molecular weight of 1025.2 g/mol, and CAS number 189691-06-3. The sequence is Ac-Nle-cyclo[Asp-His-D-Phe-Arg-Trp-Lys]-OH. It is supplied as a lyophilised solid strictly for laboratory research.
Kovalabs supplies PT-141 as a reference compound for in-vitro and pre-clinical investigation only. It is not a dietary supplement, a cosmetic, or a product for human or veterinary use, and nothing on this page describes or implies any effect, benefit or outcome in people.
PT-141 (bremelanotide) is not a controlled drug under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971, so it can be bought and held in the UK for legitimate laboratory research. It is supplied for research use only, not for human or veterinary consumption. The named licensed medicine containing bremelanotide is a separate, regulated product: this research material is a distinct reference chemical and is not that medicine, a generic, an alternative or a substitute. The buyer is responsible for lawful and appropriate use. See our research disclaimer.
Every batch is released only after independent identity and purity testing. Purity is assessed by HPLC at 99%, and identity is confirmed against the expected mass for C50H68N14O10. The molecule is verified against its published identifiers, including CAS 189691-06-3 and PubChem CID 9941379, so the material in the vial matches the compound described. A batch certificate of analysis is available on our CoA page. Not all material sold under this name is equivalent: a current CoA is how identity and purity are demonstrated rather than assumed.
In the published literature PT-141 is studied as a melanocortin-receptor ligand, with interest in melanocortin-4 receptor (MC4R) signalling in laboratory and animal-model systems. That work characterises receptor pharmacology in pre-clinical settings only. None of it establishes a benefit, effect or outcome in humans, and this material is not a licensed medicine. PT-141 is not supplied for, and is not to be used for, any human application. Mechanistic detail belongs to the wider research area: see the melanocortins category.
PT-141 is manufactured to research grade and shipped as a lyophilised powder, a white to off-white solid, with UK despatch. For laboratory handling it is reconstituted in a compatible solvent such as bacteriostatic water; reconstitution is a bench step and no route, dose or human application is described or intended. Store the lyophilised solid at -20C, kept dry and protected from light, and hold reconstituted material at 2-8C. Related melanocortin research compounds include Melanotan 2 and Melanotan 1, with the full range on the melanocortins category page. For laboratory research use only; not for human or veterinary use.

No third-party batch reports have been uploaded for this product yet. Reports are issued by independent labs after each manufacturing batch.
