TB-500 is a synthetic fragment of thymosin beta-4 studied in research into actin regulation, cell-migration and tissue-repair pathways in experimental models.
TB-500 is a synthetic acetylated heptapeptide with the sequence Ac-Leu-Lys-Lys-Thr-Glu-Thr-Gln (Ac-LKKTETQ), corresponding to the actin-binding region of the larger thymosin beta-4 protein. It carries the molecular formula C38H68N10O14, a molecular weight of 889.0 g/mol, and CAS number 885340-08-9. It is supplied as a lyophilised powder for laboratory research.
The naming is a common source of confusion. "TB-500" is widely used as shorthand for thymosin beta-4 itself, but the defined chemical entity sold under that name is the short heptapeptide fragment, not the full 43-residue protein. The two are not interchangeable and do not share a mass, so molecular weight is the reliable way to tell them apart.
TB-500 is not a controlled drug under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971, and it is not a licensed medicine in the UK. It is supplied strictly as a research chemical for in vitro and laboratory investigation. It cannot lawfully be sold or supplied for human consumption, and it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. Responsibility for lawful and appropriate handling rests with the purchaser. See our research disclaimer for the full terms.
Verify, do not trust. Every batch is released against a Certificate of Analysis confirming identity and purity by HPLC. Identity should reconcile to the verified identifiers for the heptapeptide: CAS 885340-08-9, PubChem CID 62707662, formula C38H68N10O14, and a molecular weight of 889.0 g/mol. Mass is the decisive check here, because material mislabelled as TB-500 is sometimes the full thymosin beta-4 protein, which carries a very different mass. Current documentation is available on our Certificates of Analysis page.
The fragment derives from thymosin beta-4, a protein examined in laboratory models of actin sequestration and cell migration. That an investigational area exists is not evidence of an outcome: none of this work establishes a safety or efficacy result for TB-500 in humans, and the peptide has not been evaluated as a medicine. The detailed evidence audit, including how the heptapeptide relates to the parent protein, is handled in the monograph at our TB-500 research review, with the comparative literature covered in BPC-157 vs TB-500.
TB-500 is supplied as a lyophilised powder, reconstituted for laboratory work with a suitable solvent such as bacteriostatic water. It sits within our tissue-repair research range alongside BPC-157 and GHK-Cu, peptides frequently examined in the same literature. All material ships from the UK with batch documentation.

No third-party batch reports have been uploaded for this product yet. Reports are issued by independent labs after each manufacturing batch.
